Nottingham Trent University Car Park.
The works included the replacement and resurfacing of an existing Car Park, associated kerbing, drainage and signage with the replacement street lighting fencing and landscaping works.
The project started with excavation and disposal of the original kerbs and sleepers, GPS survey of the site, production of design drawings then grading of the reduced level and filter stone with a GPS guided dozer.
Car Park construction was a fully porous stone parking bays due to the lack of any onsite drainage and tarmac access roads.
During the execution of the works there were other live construction works underway on the site, with the campus remaining fully operational throughout the construction period. This necessitated the works needed to be fully coordinated to minimise disruption and concluded in the designed time frame.
The Project was intrinsically linked to the campus landscape works that will link with the car park at the designated crossing.
