Alliance Contracting Solutions Ltd is employed by the coal authority on a number of 5 year frameworks to manage the initial response for making safe possible collapsed mine workings in both rural and residential areas. Following the fencing off of the affected area in a safe manner by Alliance, The Coal Authority undertake investigation to prove if it is in fact old mine workings and if proven, risk assessments of the reported surface hazards, The Coal Authority design the permanent solution, which Alliance subsequently constructs.
The Alliance 24/7/365 standby arrangements ensure that a call for attendance on site to secure an area is made without delay irrespective of the time of day.
Subsequently Alliance is consulted in respect of the design solution under the “early contractor involvement” approach.
Works include heavy civils input with extensive excavation works. Minimisation of waste materials is a priority as is efficient completion and handover. The projects feature extensive reinforced concrete and mass concrete works which involve minor repairs to existing structures. Fissure, property and asset repairs form an integral part of our work for the Coal authority.

Subsidence repairs: which include repairs to properties following the effects of mining subsidence to buildings and the surrounding areas. This includes drainage footpath and drive reinstatements internal and external property repairs up to full demolition and rebuild.
Mine Water Quality: Alliance Contracting Solutions Limited carry out electrical maintenance and repairs to the existing mine water pumping and treatment plants together with desilting, reed beds pressure and gravity pipe line construction and repairs.
